This is the time where you see my idea for your portrait and you decide whether you're going for it, or what you'd like to see change, and make a deposit. Sketching the composition is an early step in making the portrait drawing or painting, where you can see the most basic design elements. For example, your image might be just your favorite person's face, or maybe it includes her raising a glass for a toast! Once you approve the composition, you make a deposit, I go back to the studio and get down to the real fun/work!
